The Wesson Residence, in progress
A complete, top-to-bottom renovation of a five-level hillside home in Austin. Every level is being taken back and rebuilt: new windows, kitchens, bathrooms, floors, doors, plaster, and a new exterior, down to the pool and site walls. This is where it starts. We'll add photos as work continues.

Phase 01
Day-one walkthrough
A 30-second look at the house at the start of the renovation.
Phase 02
Envelope and exterior
49 new black windows, each opening flashed and sealed. The siding comes off for smooth, modern stucco on every story and Hardie board and batten, with new decks, glass railings, and tongue-and-groove porch ceilings.

Phase 03
Kitchens and primary closet
All three kitchens are being taken back to the walls and rebuilt with new cabinetry, countertops, and appliances. The primary closet keeps its cabinetry, fully refinished, over a new marble floor.

Phase 04
Floors, doors, baths, and walls
New wood floors on every level and up the stairs, with new handrails from the lowest floor to the fifth. Every interior door is replaced with an 8-foot door, all 7.5 bathrooms are gutted and rebuilt to the owner's specifications, and every wall and ceiling is re-plastered to a Level 5 smooth finish.

Phase 05
Pool and site
A full pool remodel, new railings and fencing, and renewed limestone walls down the hill.

Questions
Common questions
Do you take on whole-home remodels of large homes in Austin?
Yes. The Wesson Residence is a five-level, 6,500 SF hillside home where we are renovating every level, inside and out, under one contract.
Can you replace windows and redo stucco on a multi-story home?
Yes. On this project we are installing 49 new windows, with every opening flashed and sealed, and resurfacing the exterior in smooth stucco with Hardie board and batten.
How do you price a whole-home renovation?
Every project is walked onsite, then bid with an itemized fixed bid and one lump-sum total.
