30,000 SF slab poured in one day
A 30,000 square foot slab placed in a single day. Before the pour, we dug and built heavy spread footings, set 88 anchor bolt sets to template, and laid out the vapor barrier and slab steel. On pour day, pumps and finishers worked around the clock to place and finish the whole slab without a break.

Phase 01
Spread footing excavation
Digging the heavy spread footings to depth and size across the building pad.

Phase 02
Footing steel and anchor bolts
Tying the footing rebar cages and setting all 88 anchor bolt sets in wood templates so the steel columns land exactly where they belong.

Phase 03
Vapor barrier and slab steel
Vapor barrier down and the slab reinforcing laid out and chaired across the full 30,000 SF.

Phase 04
Round-the-clock pour
Pumps started before sunrise and placement and finishing ran around the clock until the whole slab was done in one day.

Questions
Common questions
Can you pour a large slab in a single day?
Yes. We placed and finished a 30,000 square foot slab in one day, with pumps and finishing crews working around the clock.
Do you set anchor bolts for steel buildings?
Yes. On this job we set 88 anchor bolt sets in templates on heavy spread footings so the steel erector could start right away.
Why pour a slab in one continuous placement?
One continuous pour avoids extra cold joints, keeps the finish consistent, and speeds up the schedule for the steel and building trades.
